Interested in our IB Program at SME?

The IB program at Shawnee Mission East is open to any student and does not require a formal application.  Certain courses have prerequisites, therefore advanced planning may be necessary.  If you are interested in the SME IB Program, please reach out to our IB Coordinator, Ms. Liz Landry (elizabethlandry@smsd.org).

Enrollment Timeline

Enrollment for the following school year in January.  Students interested in the IB program should talk to Ms. Landry, current teachers, or their counselor.  

Transfer Information

Every year students who do not live in the East boundaries seek a transfer to East for the opportunity to participate in the IB Program.
