At SME, the PTSA works year-round to bring fun, safe and educational projects and events to the students, parents, teachers and staff. Programing includes:

- Freshman Link Dance

- Staff appreciation year-round

- College Clinic

- Valentine's Day sales 

- School wide educational programming

- After Grad party for Seniors

The PTSA also helps teachers throughout the year by giving out instructional grants to provide additional educational materials to assist with classroom needs.

The PTSA holds three General Meetings throughout the year where they highly encourage parents, teachers, and students to attend. Some of the topics include college and ACT planning, alcohol and consequences, teens and mental health, and celebrating SME.

PTSA is only able to provide these school wide programs that enhance the Lancer community through your membership dues. Please consider joining by clicking here. Note that PTSA fees are not part of the SME dues paid online through Shawnee Mission School District.
